1. Service Description

vocab is a language learning platform that turns any content — texts, videos, audio recordings, websites — into personalized vocabulary exercises using AI. The service is provided by 3z digital GmbH, St. Gallen, Switzerland.

2. Account

  • You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account.
  • One account per person. Shared accounts are not permitted.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

3. User Content

You may upload texts, images, and audio recordings to the service. You retain full ownership of your content. By uploading content, you grant vocab a non-exclusive license to process it for the purpose of providing the service (generating exercises, extracting vocabulary, etc.).

4. AI-Generated Content

Exercises, translations, definitions, and other learning materials are generated by AI and may contain errors. This content is not a substitute for professional translation or language instruction. Use it as a learning aid at your own discretion.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload illegal, harmful, or abusive content
  • Upload copyrighted content beyond what is permitted for personal learning under fair use
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service
  • Use the service for any purpose other than language learning

6. Availability

The service is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee any specific uptime or availability (no SLA). The service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time with reasonable notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Swiss law, 3z digital GmbH shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
